Edirne (Adrianople):

The Holy Place at Edirne it is open for visit every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00 and every Tuesday and Thursday from 12:00 to 17:00. In order to visit the Holy Places it is compulsory that you take your Baha'i ID card with you (for more information).

If you are traveling to Edirne from Istanbul, you may go by bus from the Esenler Otogar (the main bus station), a two and a half to three hour trip. At Esenler seek out;

Volkan : (0212) 658 0852 Buses leave for Edirne hourly from 05:45 to 23:00

Radar : (0212) 658 0550 Buses leave for Edirne hourly from 07:00 to 21:00

Ulusoy : (0212) 658 3005 Buses leave for Edirne hourly from 07:00 to 18:00

Once at the Edirne bus station which is a little far from the city, it is convenient to ride the service shuttles if supplied by the company of the bus line you rode, free by showing your bus-trip ticket, or cheap city bus service, or if you take a taxi it will cost about 18 - 20 YTL (taxis have taximeter), to the Caretaker's residence and/or your hotel. The names and address of the Caretakers will be send to visitors by e-mail.

Though it is practicable to visit Edirne on a day trip from Istanbul, be aware that there is not any possibility to stay at the Center but there are several hotels in the area should you wish to prolong your stay. Please find information for four of these hotels from Hotel Information.

The Holy Place at Istanbul is open for visit Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 11:00 to 13:00
